FAQ's
Some of the Most Frequently Asked Questions at Your Local Bike Shop.
FAQ's
1. What bike brands do you carry?
We carry top brands including Specialized, Cannondale, Santa Cruz, BMC, Enve, and Electra. We also service most other premium bike brands — just ask!
2. Do you sell and service e-bikes?
We sell and service e-bikes from traditional bike brands such as Specialized, Cannondale, Electra, and BMC. For safety and serviceability, we do not work on most online or off-brand e-bikes, as they may contain inaccessible parts.
3. Can I order a bike from a brand’s website and have it delivered to your shop?
Yes! You can order directly from Specialized, Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Electra, or BMC, have it shipped to our shop, and we’ll professionally assemble it — just like you purchased it here.
4. What if you don’t have the bike I’m looking for in stock?
No problem — we can help you order it, or guide you through a custom or semi-custom build to fit your exact needs. We’re here to help you get the perfect bike.
5. Do you offer bike fitting services?
Yes. We provide professional bike fitting to ensure comfort, performance, and injury prevention — available for both new purchases and your current bike.
6. Can I schedule a fit and bike consultation at the same time?
Absolutely. Book a session with Andrea for a full fit and consultation. She’ll help you choose the right bike — including options for full custom builds from Seven, Serotta, Enve, and others.
7. Do you build custom and semi-custom bikes?
Yes — we specialize in both. We work closely with top custom brands like Seven, Enve, and Serotta to build bikes tailored to your unique fit, style, and performance goals.
8. What is the Ridgefield Bicycle Club (RBC)?
RBC is an independent nonprofit cycling club created in partnership with our shop. They host many weekly rides, including Thirsty Thursday road ride, clinics, and Destination Rides throughout the year.
9. How do I join RBC or learn about upcoming rides and events?
Visit the club’s website at ridgefieldbicycleclub.org for ride schedules, events, and sign-up info. All levels are welcome!
10. Do you host or support local races and events?
Yes! We proudly sponsor the Ridgefield Triathlon and Duathlon, and regularly support community events, fundraisers, and youth cycling initiatives.
11. What bike repair services do you offer?
Our full-service shop, staffed by five full-time mechanics, offers everything from tune-ups and flat repairs to custom builds, full drivetrain replacements, and advanced servicing for high-end bikes.
12. What is your bike donation program with Northeast Community Cycles?
We partner with Northeast Community Cycles to collect used bikes for those in need. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve donated thousands of bikes over the years to support underserved communities.
13. Do you sell accessories and gear too?
Yes — we stock helmets, apparel, shoes, lights, bags, tools, and everything else you need to ride confidently and comfortably.
14. Are you involved in the local community beyond cycling?
Definitely. From sponsoring races and club rides to donating bikes and supporting local schools and nonprofits, we’re proud to be an active part of Ridgefield.
15. Can I trade in my bike for credit toward a new one?
We don’t offer trade-ins, but we do accept bike donations through our partnership with Northeast Community Cycles. For selling your bike, we recommend platforms like Facebook Marketplace or Pinkbike.
16. Is it cheaper to buy a used bike?
Not always. While the upfront cost may be lower, needed parts and tune-ups can quickly add up. We're happy to provide a repair estimate if you bring the bike in for inspection.
17. Do you have mountain bike trails or group rides?
Yes! We support weekly mountain bike group rides in partnership with FCMEBAs (Fairfield County Chapter of NEMBA). Learn more and get involved at fcnemba.org.
