Andrea Myers, PT, DPT, OCS is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Andrea completed her undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in 2006 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Andrea is an ex-pro road racer who also raced cyclocross (category 1), XC MTB (category 2), and track (category 3). She has multiple top-ten placings in international level (UCI) competitions, and has numerous championship titles at the state and regional level. Andrea has a strong background in treating patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, including sports injuries, back and neck pain, and patients who have undergone orthopedic surgery. 

Andrea is well known for her knowledge and experience in treating cyclists, runners, and multi-sport athletes of all levels. Andrea has been bike fitting since 2013 and has done over 1000 fits in her career. Her extensive biomechanical knowledge, physical therapy experience, and racing background gives her a significant advantage over traditional bike fitters. She thoroughly understands the causes of cycling-related pain and injury in a way that non-healthcare professionals cannot. Andrea is also a Senior Contributor at Doctors of Running, where she reviews running shoes and hosts a running science podcast.

Bike fits may be done on a standard trainer or on the Retul Fit Bike depending on your individual needs.  

Deluxe Bike Fit $360

For Road, Gravel, Cyclocross, Mountain, or Hybrid

Full body physical therapy assessment

Cleat adjustment, including cleat wedges and/or leg length shims if needed

Saddle height, fore-aft, and tilt adjustment

Cockpit adjustment (stem, bars, brake levers)

Crank length recommendation

Deluxe Bike Fit can be done as a pre-purchase fit on your existing bike or on the fit bike, with recommendations for the best fitting new bike for you

Price includes any needed follow up visits for adjustments

Triathlon/TT Bike Fit $360-$480

Due to the increasing complexity of triathlon bikes and time required for adjustments, fits will be billed based on time ($60/15 min). Fits typically take 1.5-2.5 hrs.

Full body physical therapy assessment

Cleat adjustment, including wedges and/or leg length shims if needed

Saddle height, fore-aft, and tilt adjustment

Crank length recommendation

Cockpit adjustment (aero bar length, tilt, pad placement, stem, handlebars). Positions are set up according to appropriate governing body rules (UCI, USAC, USAT).

Pre-purchase fit is strongly recommended for triathlon/TT bikes

Additional Fitting Services $60/15 min
